No I am not writing this while I am driving, however I am aware that you are texting. I know this because you have locked up your brakes twice avoiding a rear end collision with my car. Needless to say, you are ON MY ASS close enough for me to see YOU ARE PAYING MORE ATTENTION TO THAT PHONE, then you are to your driving. I hope that the person you are texting likes you, because they are going to need to dial 911 for you, after the accident. The reason why I am nervous about your driving and lack of judgement, is because the car four car lengths in front of me is tapping their brakes so much, I am going to go red-eye blind. What about this do you not understand – Mr. Driver in the car ahead of me. If you need to tap your brakes constantly to avoid hitting the car in front of you, YOU ARE FOLLOWING TOO DAMN CLOSE.
Back to the driver behind me. Consider this, you are traveling at 44 feet per second at 30 miles per hour. It will take you one second to realize I am stopping because you are paying attention to your text, one second to throw the phone down and grab the wheel with both hand and one second to get your foot on the brake, assuming you are quick. As close as you, that will put you in my front seat by the time we stop. Guess where I will be. I would prefer to be home with my family so drop the phone and pay attention. That text is not worth my or your life.
